Each year, the Undergraduate Teaching Symposium sponsored by CALS recognizes outstanding posters and presentations with a cash award. The criteria used to determine the award winners includes:

• Clearly stated the hypothesis or research questions
• Demonstrated the importance of the problem/issue
• Described and used appropriate methods to analyze data or project
• Stated their important findings and explained the significance to teaching
• Stated conclusions and offered recommendations
• Organized the overall presentation/poster in an attractive, informative manner including use of graphs, charts and tables
• Response to questions
