Awards Criteria
Awards will be presented at the Teaching and Advising Awards Reception
- 4:00 - 5:30 David Clark Atrium and 101 Classroom
- 4:00 Reception - Atrium
- 4:20 - "The Magic of Teaching", former NACTA President, Dr. Keith Karnok, Professor, University of Georgia
- 5:00 - Teaching and Advising Awards, UG Teaching and UG Research Symposia Awards
Each year, the Undergraduate Teaching Symposium sponsored by CALS recognizes outstanding posters and presentations with a cash award. The criteria used to determine the award winners includes:
- Clearly stated the hypothesis or research questions
- Demonstrated the importance of the problem/issue
- Described and used appropriate methods to analyze data or project
- Stated their important findings and explained the significance to teaching
- Stated conclusions and offered recommendations
- Organized the overall presentation/poster in an attractive, informative manner including use of graphs, charts and tables
- Response to questions
