Launched at the 2009 TJS Alumni Reunion, this endowment recognizes two of the founders and strongest proponents of the program. Funds from the endowment will be used to provide scholarships for undergraduate students enrolled the dual-degree Thomas Jefferson Scholars Program in the Colleges of Agriculture and Life Sciences and Humanities and Social Sciences at North Carolina State University. If additional funds are available, the income from this endowment may also be used to support travel and other programmatic expenses for the Thomas Jefferson Scholars, at the discretion of the Associate Dean and Director of Academic Programs.
Awards from this endowment will be made to one or more students, in accordance with the established procedures for awarding merit based scholarships. Awards will be for one academic year and may be renewable if the recipient maintains satisfactory academic progress as determined by the CALS Scholarship Committee.
