Land Grant University Survey


During the past two years our committee has been evaluating the roles and responsibilities of the Land Grant University (LGU) system in the area of biotechnology research and communication. Our main activity has been to conduct an Internet-based survey of administrators and faculty from every state. Results posted at the above link provide insights into the challenges and opportunities the universities face in this complex and controversial area.

We invite you to provide comments on the implications of these survey results. Please review the survey findings and enter your comments to help shape the future of LGU biotechnology policies and programs. We want to know what you think about the most appropriate roles and responsibilities for the universities. Also, indicate what you think the main challenges and problems that the system faces in the area of biotechnology. Your comments will be accepted until July 1.
