Customer Service
The customer service team coordinates the sale of multimedia and photography products, Extension and Research publications, the North Carolina Agricultural Chemicals Manual, CDs, videotapes and subscriptions to the Successful Gardener newsletter.
The team maintains the photographic slide and negative archives, including images used in the Perspectives magazine; processes customer accounts billing; and schedules use of the small conference rooms.
The team responds to viewer requests for the UNC-TV Almanac Gardener program, hosted by Mike Gray. The Almanac Gardener television program airs for 13 weeks each spring, beginning in April.
Through the Media Library, the customer service team manages the loan of educational materials, exhibits, and audiovisual equipment to the faculty and staff of the NCSU College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service [see Faculty and Staff Resources].
The customer service team coordinates the inventory control and distribution of bulk publications, office supplies and marketing materials to the faculty and staff of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the 100 county offices of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service and the Cherokee Reservation; the team also maintains databases for various CALS mailing lists and provides labels or e-mail lists to campus personnel (See Faculty and Staff Resources).
The team also answers the department's main telephone number, (919) 513-3045, live from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.When the main number is called, the customer service team will assist you in contacting the appropriate person or team within the Department of Communication Services.
