Home gardeners looking for information specially suited for North Carolina’s growing conditions now need to look no farther than their mailboxes. Extension’s Successful Gardener newsletter, previously distributed only through garden centers and nurseries, is now available by subscription.

The full-color, four-page publication, issued 10 times a year by North Carolina Cooperative Extension, features monthly gardening tips and pointers for environmental stewardship. It also includes news of upcoming Cooperative Extension gardening workshops and seminars and information about the distinctive flowers, trees and shrubs featured in the JC Raulston Arboretum at N.C. State University.

Subscribers will also receive monthly Successful Gardener tips through e-mail. The cost is $12.95 per year.

The newsletter will also continue to be available through garden centers and nurseries across the state. Extension’s Successful Gardener workshops and seminars are offered in 18 N.C. counties that participate in the Successful Gardener program.
