Esbenshade wins
Distinguished Educator Award

Dr. Kenneth L. Esbenshade, associate dean and
director of academic programs for N.C. State University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, recently won the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture’s Distinguished Educator Award.

Esbenshade was honored during the professional society’s annual conference in San Luis Obispo, Calif. NACTA focuses on promoting and recognizing excellence in teaching agriculture and related areas at the post-secondary level.

Esbenshade oversees one of the N.C. State University’s largest academic programs. The College enrolls some 4,400 students in associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs in subjects ranging from animal and crop science to biochemistry, molecular toxicology and zoology. It is the nation’s third largest college of agriculture and life sciences.
