N.C. State ‘Webinar’ offers job-seekers career advice, resources

A Web-based seminar, “Pack’s Professional Parachute,” was offered online in April to provide techniques, ideas and resources to people who have been laid off from their jobs or are planning a career move during these difficult economic times. Topics included resume writing, networking tips and technology tools.

The Webinar, free and open to the public, was presented by three N.C. State University organizations: the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences’ Career Services, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences’ Alumni and Friends Society and the N.C. State Alumni Association.

Webinar presenters were Marcy Bullock, director of Career Services in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and Sue Simonds, director of Alumni Career Services for the N.C. State Alumni Association. “We know that times are tough,” Bullock said, “and we want to offer advice to help our alumni and others navigate the changing times successfully.”
