Corrections to the
Winter 2003 Perspectives

In the Winter 2003 Perspectives, Renee Strnad, who teaches in the Project Learning Tree educator workshop with the Cooperative Extension Service, was incorrectly identified as being an environmental educator with the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Strnad is an environmental education assistant, Extension Forestry, in the College of Natural Resources at N.C. State University.

In a Winter 2003 Perspectives article on the 2002-2003 CALS Distinguished Alumni, Lois Britt was identified as the first woman in North Carolina to serve as a county Extension director. That distinction belongs to Mrs. Frances S. Voliva, now retired as Tyrrell County Extension Director. Voliva, who was appointed to that position in 1975, like Britt, served Cooperative Extension for more than 34 years.
