Flowers honored with teaching award
Dr. Billy L. Flowers, professor of Animal Science, is one of 10 recipients nationwide of 2005 Excellence in University Teaching Awards given by the National Association of Universities and Land-Grant Colleges (NASULGC).
Teaching awards were announced at the association's annual meeting in November 2005. Flowers teaches a swine management course for four-year students, as well as a swine herd management course for the Agricultural Institute, an introduction to animal science course and a graduate course in swine reproductive management. He also mentors students in the Swine Intern and Swine and Poultry Scholars programs. His research focuses on swine reproduction.
Flowers has been a member of the CALS faculty for 20 years.
