Charles Taylor; and Dr. Leroy Walker, former chancellor at North Carolina Central University and president of the World Games for Special Olympics.

Presenters included North Carolina State University Chancellor Marye Anne Fox; College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Dean Jim Oblinger; Charlie Gaddy, retired WRAL-TV news anchor; Barbara Allen, retired Carolina Power and Light Co. executive; and Phil Kirk, state board of education chair.

Chaired by Larry Wooten, Farm Bureau president, and Darleen Johns, president of Alphanumeric Systems, the event was hosted by the North Carolina 4-H Development Fund and the North Carolina 4-H Youth Development Program.
