Entomological champions

A team from N.C. State University took first place in the Linnean Games, held in March in Baton Rouge, La. — making it the second year in a row that N.C. State students have brought home the trophy. Dr. Wes Watson of the Entomology Department coached the team. Pictured are (left to right) Dorit Eliyahu, Chad Gore, Matt Bertone, Christie Hurt, Watson, Tracy Rennie, Hope Dalton and Juan Cabrera. The games, developed by the Entomological Society of America, feature student teams who are quizzed on their knowledge of entomological subject matter. Correct answers are followed by bonus questions about entomology in poetry and entertainment.
