Eight receive CALS Awards for Excellence

In April, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Dean Johnny Wynne (second from left) presented the 2006 CALS Awards for Excellence to eight winners. They are (from left) Denise Baker, Mitchell County Extension; Linda Daniel, Poultry Science; Ricky Barbour, Communication Services; Marilu Bolton, Center for Marine Sciences and Technology; Candy Orr, University Field Laboratories; Neko Everett, Sociology and Anthropology; Susan Marschalk, Zoology; and Patricia Bacheler, Entomology. Each received a plaque, $250 and eight hours of paid leave. They were also honored at the May 22 University Awards Luncheon, where Daniel and Baker were university-level winners.
The Awards for Excellence are presented annually to permanent employees of the College in recognition of outstanding service, innovations, public service, safety/heroism and human relations contributions.
