A field day for plant enthusiasts

Late September still boasted some colors of summer as horticultural science students displayed their wares at the fall semester Pi Alpha Xi plant sale at the College’s JC Raulston Arboretum.

Twice each year, the honor society for undergraduate and graduate students in horticulture sponsors a sale, featuring unusual and difficult-to-find trees, shrubs and herbaceous perennials. Proceeds from the sale are used to support student scholarships, 4-H and other youth programs and various charitable and community service organizations.
