feed mill program A new feed milling education program in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at N.C. State University has received support from several industry donors. Among those are: Poultry integrator Gold Kist, which provided a cash gift to purchase equipment for the feed mill. Gold Kist, headquartered in Atlanta, is the second largest poultry producer in the United States. Syngenta Biotechnology Inc., which gave a cash gift to purchase equipment for the feed mill. Syngenta is a world-leading agribusiness. Novus International Inc., a global leader in the animal agriculture industry, which recently pledged to give liquid application equipment and perpetual operating support through supplies of the feed additive Alimet. In
anticipation of industry support and to meet the feed industry demand
for more college graduates an academic program in feed milling has
already been started with the development of a minor degree program
that utilizes new and existing courses relating to feed milling. The
minor has already attracted a number of students. Natalie Hampton |
