In August, Hal L. Teagarden (left), director of agricultural programs for Philip Morris USA, presented a check in the amount of $302,000 to support research, extension and academic programs in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Dr. Johnny Wynne accepted the contribution from Philip Morris, which brings the company's 2004 contribution to the university to $377,000. "Philip Morris is pleased to be able to continue its support of these tobacco-related programs at NCSU," Teagarden said. "We feel that our relationship over the years has been very productive and that NCSU has been a good steward of these funds."
