North Carolina's participants in the National Junior Horticultural Association's annual convention in Omaha, Neb., returned in October with numerous honors. The contingent of 13 included seven youths from Cleveland, Harnett, Stokes and Wake counties and six adults to support them. They gave demonstrations, speeches and essays and competed in the horticulture contest.
Said Liz Driscoll, 4-H Youth Extension specialist, "The most amazing part of the experience is the chance for the youths to connect with others who share a passion for plants and learning."
