Extension National Branding webinar is Jan. 10

Have you ever heard that Extension was the best-kept secret in your state? It turns out that that statement is not too far from the truth. Research shows that only 2 percent of adults nationwide have heard of Extension, and even fewer know what Extension is all about. You could say it’s because we’re modest and reluctant to brag or blow our own horn, but the reality is that we just don’t do branding very well.
A strong brand requires a clear and compelling message, focused on the audience, validated by research, and consistently and repeatedly communicated, delivered and experienced. We now have just such a message for Extension. Our task is to provide the tools and training needed to transform every Extension employee into an ambassador for the Extension brand.
The National Extension Branding Initiative will be launched this month. All Extension employees are invited to attend this presentation, to learn about the new branding tools, templates and training that have been created to support implementation nationwide.
Many employees throughout the Extension system have already been involved in the development of these materials and/or adapting elements of the research and the campaign for use in their states. Whether you are already an expert on the initiative or “brand” new to it, you are invited to participate in this National Launch session on Thursday, January 10, at 3:00 pm EST.
