Franklin County hosts local foods meal as fundraiser

N.C. Cooperative Extension in Franklin County will host a local foods dinner on Friday, Oct. 8, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Farmers’ Market Shelter in Louisburg’s Shannon Village Shopping Center. Proceeds from the meal will go to Franklin County’s United Way. For $8 a plate, diners can enjoy sirloin tip roast, butter beans, sweet potatoes, corn bread and dessert.
