Bertie raises $7,000+ for tornado relief fund

Bertie County’s Cooperative Extension staff raised $7,320 for that county’s tornado relief fund through a drawing for a donated John Deere riding lawnmower. Extension thanks East Coast Equipment and John Deere for donating the lawnmower and Mike Johnson, Joann Jordan, Caryn Jones, Cindy Perry, Leslie Watts, and Brenda Mizelle of Bertie County for selling tickets along with 19 counties of the Northeast Extension District.
