The latest technology and research related to hay production will be the topic of an N.C. State University field day July 19 at the Mountain Research Station in Waynesville.
The 2011 Landscape Professional Field Day takes place at the JC Raulston Arboretum on N.C. State University’s campus in Raleigh. University researchers and Extension specialists will discuss weed management, insect problems and pruning techniques.
Scientists from N.C. State University will discuss some of the hottest topics in cotton production during the annual N.C. Cotton Field Day on Sept. 23. Hosted by Flatland Farms and Associates in Pantego, this field day marks the first time since 1995 that the event has been held off the Upper Coastal Plain Research Station. A Turfgrass Field Day at which experts from North Carolina State University will discuss the latest research on growing and maintaining turf for residential lawns, golf courses and athletic fields will be held Wednesday, Aug. 11, at the Sandhills Research Station in Jackson Springs.
