Delectable food, musical entertainment and a silent auction featuring unusual plants and an eclectic array of gift items will be showcased at the annual Gala in the Garden at North Carolina State University’s JC Raulston Arboretum. The public event will take place on April 28 from 3:30 to 7 p.m.
The JC Raulston Arboretum at N.C. State University has been recognized for its outstanding appearance by the City of Raleigh. The arboretum received a 2012 Sir Walter Raleigh Award in the category of Maintained Outstanding Appearance. Awards in this category are for projects that are more than five years old and have consistently maintained a high quality appearance contributing to Raleigh’s image.
Nearly 100 different cultivars of poinsettias will be on display from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday Dec. 4 at N.C. State University’s JC Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh. Stop by to see the 9′ tall poinsettia tree, enjoy poinsettia gardens and decorated poinsettias and help decide which poinsettias are North Carolina’s favorites.
