Classroom and Lab Management

Introduction

Teachers have the responsibility of maintaining a safe and conducive learning environment in the classroom and lab. The physical arrangement of both the classroom and lab is a key component to safety and efficiency. Once this is in place the teacher must teach procedures that become routine in the classroom and lab. Procedures and rules should be practiced and enforced in the classroom. Occasionally a student will not cooperate and may require discipline. It is also the teacher's responsibility to try and figure out why the student is not cooperating so that can prevent the situation from occurring again.
