Recruiting and Retaining FFA Members
|
|
Learning
Objectives:
|
- Describe effective methods
for recruiting and retaining FFA members.
|
|
The
Basics:
Read and Study this
material if your experience with FFA and 4-H is limited.
|
- Make certain that you are
familiar with the Local Program Success Guide available to you on the
National FFA organization web site.
|
|
The
Main Lesson:
Read these articles
|
- Recruiting FFA members
starts with recruiting agricultural education students. See this issue
of FFA
Advisors Making a Difference for ideas on how to do this.
- Can I use the FFA
emblem on uniforms for Barbie Dolls? That was one of the questions Dr.
Croom received during his tenure as the state FFA coordinator. To find
out the answer to this and many other questions about the FFA brand,
read the FFA
Brand Manual. Unfortunately, National FFA is having a problem
with this online pdf and it cannot be read online at this time.
Just know that the FFA Brand Manual is available from National FFA.
- You have a lot of reading
this week, but the reading is relatively easy. Your job is to read the FFA
Guide to Recruitment and Retention. This is your one-stop shopping
source for recruiting FFA members and keeping them in your FFA chapter.
Eighty-one pages of fun and adventure!
