Introduction:
The resources in this lesson provide us with a synopsis of past decisions made by curriculum developers that have molded workforce development education into today's curriculum. Hopefully we can reflect on the successes and failures of past curriculum developers to make better decisions for the future. Enjoy your trip to the past. Next week we will continue our journey as we examine past trends and issues that played a role in these decisions.

Outline the history of curriculum development in all of education according to Pratt in Curriculum: Design and Development.

Using the article "A New Association in Born," Techniques, February 2002, p. 20-44, create a timeline including historical events, changes and/or decisions that you feel were most critical in the development of Workforce Development curriculum as we know it today. These might include wars, legislation, major reports, etc. Please create and use a visual model (flow chart, diagram, table, etc.) of your choice to illustrate this timeline. You could use Microsoft Word or Excel or even a single Powerpoint slide for your model.
Please submit both assignments in the correct places in the AEE 529 Moodle site.
