Welcome to AEE 560!

This course will teach you the skills of leadership, management and supervision in organizations that provide agricultural and extension education. We will examine prominent leadership theories, and apply those theories to practice through observation, research, and class discussions. This course is being taught on-campus and on-line. Regardless of which section you are in, you should visit this course website for assignments, information, and announcements about the course. This course will require approximately 5 ½ hours of class attendance, class work and study each week.

This is a crazy course! I get my syllabus and assignments in the spring semester, complete the coursework during the summer, and submit my assignments within the first two weeks of the fall semester. Why is AEE 327 set up like this?
Answer: AEE does this to save you tuition dollars. By offering this course in this manner, AEE saves you from having to take a course during the summer and pay summer tuition.

Can I complete this course at the school I attended as a high school student?
Answer: No. This is a departmental requirement and is not negotiable.

When can I start my observations?
Answer: As soon as your cooperating teacher has agreed to work with you, AND as soon as school ends for the year.

When will I find out if my placement has been approved?
Answer: Dr. Croom will notify you by email as soon as the cooperating site is approved.

When must I be finished with my observations?
Answer: Before the beginning of the school year at your cooperating school.
