In the first lesson, learners should build a theoretical framework for program marketing. Therefore, most of the assigned readings are journal derived. This literature review of agricultural and extension program marketing will assist you in accomplishing the lesson objective and developing a marketing theme for the activity. In subsequent lessons, assignments will make more efficient and effective use of the web. 
  • Have you boasted about your own program lately? If no, consider doing so. Read It's Time to Tell the Extension Story.
  • The Extension agency has addressed program marketing planning
  • A tool kit can help agents and teachers market their programs. Get ideas for developing a tool kit.
  • Using a blueprint as the launching pad for program marketing efforts can help assure success.
  • Read chapter 25 in the text to discover how marketing can signify a problem solving approach.
  • Take a crystal ball look into the future of educational organizations by reading chapter 26 in the text.

Assignments:

Computer depicting learning activity Choose two articles to critique.  Selections can be taken from, but are not limited to these journal readings. Please include both a summary and opinion in your writing. One critique must be submitted at the end of week five and the other at the end of week ten. Please limit each to one double spaced page in length (10% of final grade)
