The
Main Lesson:
Read the articles and
visit the websites to familiarize yourself with 4-H delivery modes in
North Carolina and throughout the country.

|
- 4-H clubs are the most commonly known delivery mode
by which 4-H reaches out to youth. However, there are six
other ways in which 4-H reaches youth throughout the country. Each
delivery mode serves a different purpose but all are
equally important. 4-H staff also use these as categories for reporting
participation in 4-H to government agencies at local, state, and
federal levels. Delivery modes differ in duration and
intensity but all involve "learning by doing," which is the 4-H Motto.
- The delivery modes are: Organized 4-H Clubs, Special
Interest Programs and Day Camping, Overnight Camping, School
Enrichment, Individual Study, School-Age and Child Care Educational
Programs, and Instructional TV/Video Programs. Below are links to
several different states that have
excellent information on the 4-H Delivery Modes.
