Final Project

The Final Project is to be submitted on the day of your last observation. The project is an indexed portfolio style notebook containing one example of each objective. Remember that if you are pursuing a master's degree this portfolio can be used as a framework for your master's portfolio

 

1. The ability to plan for and deliver instruction in Agricultural Education. (NBPTS 3)

2. The ability to identify and cope with variations in student abilities and basic skills. (NBPTS 1, 3, 8, 9)

3. The ability to effectively manage a classroom and/or lab setting and deal with student behavior problems. (NBPTS 3)

4. The ability to organize an appropriate course of study.

5. The ability to identify and utilize school and community resources. (NBPTS 7, 11)

6. Establish realistic expectations for improving the agriculture program, including student recruitment and retention.

7. The ability to develop cooperative working relationships with fellow teachers and school administrators.

8. The ability to effectilvely develop and supervise students' agricultural experience programs.

9. The ability to supervise and advise the student youth organization (FFA).

10. The ability to assess student ability and to evaluate student performance. (NBPTS 6)

11. The ability to manage time effectively in order to carry out the responsibilities of a teacher of agriculture.

12. The ability to manage a budget for the agricultural program.
