GRAEDE Program Admission

A 3.0 undergraduate GPA is expected in order to be admitted to the Master's program. If an applicant doesn’t have a 3.0 we consider:

  • The GPA for the last two years of baccalaureate work
  • The GPA in the baccalaureate major
  • Grades on courses taken at NCSU as a continuing education student
If an applicant doesn’t have a 3.0 GPA but is close, students may be admitted on a provisional basis. In addition to the GPA requirement, first-rate letters of reference are needed.

The GRE (or MAT) is not required.

Students can apply for graduate school on-line at http://www2.acs.ncsu.edu/grad/prospect.htm. Other information about the NCSU graduate school is also available at this site.

Students can take courses as a continuing education student before applying to the graduate program (and have the courses count toward the Master’s degree). If you want to see if GRAEDE is for you, you are encourage to take 1-2 courses as a continuing education student. This is also a good way to show you are capable of performing at the graduate level if you GPA is low.
