"Do We Still Need Agricultural Education" is the question posed by Rosco Vaughn in this article from the Agricultural Education Magazine (Volume 71, Issue 4, pp. 4-5).
Read the article "My Initial Perceptions of Agricultural Education" by Allison Touchstone from the Agricultural Education Magazine (Volume 67, Issue 9, pp. 11, 16).
Review the Goals 2000 document.
Assignments:

Interview an experienced teacher and give examples that show evidence that the major factors described in the slide show were used (or not used) in making decisions about their program. While it is preferred that a secondary agricultural education program be used as a basis for this assignment, other options would be a college level agriculture course or a course in another area of education.
