Bull Tests and Sales - 1999-2000
Gary Gregory and Roger McCraw

Listed in the table below are the average test and sale expenses for the three bull test stations operated during 1999-2000. About mid-May we will be sending this information, along with nomination forms, soliciting consignments of bulls for the 2000-2001 tests. As you visit with producers this spring, you may have questions regarding the bull tests. This information should help you address those questions.

We canceled the Piedmont test last year due to insufficient number of bulls consigned. Numbers this past year were down at Butner. The number of bulls at Waynesville has been just above the minimum for a few years now. Consignments must increase, if we are to continue to offer these programs.

Please inform interested seedstock producers about the tests. If you have purebred or commercial producers who would like to be on our mailing list, please send their names and addresses to us.
