The Purpose

         The North Carolina Cattlemen's foundation, Inc. was developed for the exclusive purpose of scientific research related to beef cattle to be carried on in the public interest. The Foundation was established in 1982 to receive donations and has acquired a tax exempt status as a non-profit organization.

          The Foundation is administered by a twelve-member Board of Directors who are largely cattlemen and who are appointed by the Board of Directors of the NC Cattlemen's Association, Inc.
