NCSU Cooperative Extension Equine Elluminate Broadcast Series

 

 

The NCSU Extension Horse Husbandry (EHH) section and the NC Cooperative Extension Service will present a series of six seminars on equine topics broadcasted on line using the Elluminate program.

 

The equine seminars will be broadcasted from 7:00 to 8:15pm on the following dates, scheduled through March 2012.

Broadcasts are limited to 75 minutes (40 minute lectures, 30 minute questions & answers)

 

To date, the following counties have pre-registered to receive an Elluminate broadcast at the county extension office.

Alamance Co.
Bladen Co.
Cabarrus Co.
Craven Co.
Columbus Co.
Edgecombe Co.
Harnett Co.
Jones Co.
Orange Co.
Pender Co.
Person Co.
Richmond Co.
Stanly Co.
Transylvania Co.
Union Co.
Wake Co.
Watauga Co.
Wayne Co.

If you are located near one of the above listed county Extension offices you are welcome to attend the session.  If you are not located in or near a county with a scheduled viewing site, you are welcome to access the broadcast directly from your home. 

 

Directions to log-on to the Elluminate Series are as follows:

    1. Enter your chosen user name “for example: jessica_hicks”
    2. Please make sure that your user name is your actual name to make it easier for us to address you correctly
    3. Enter the password- horse
    4. Click “Log On”
    5. Select “OK” when asked to open the file “meeting.jnlp”

      (Note: You may need to download Java to run this program.  If so, just follow the appropriate prompts.)

    6. Once the meeting has been downloaded you may be asked to select your type of internet connection.  If so chose the appropriate answer.
    7. At this point, you should be fully logged on to the meeting.

EHH staff will be online for sound checks, etc. at 6:40pm on Elluminate session days, so please make sure to log in a few minutes early to make certain that your Elluminate program is working correctly!!

Note: The Elluminate session is ALWAYS open, so please make sure that you are able to access the site and debug any problems that you have well in advance of the actual elluminate session, as we will not stop the presentation for individuals having trouble logging on.
