2009 Southern Regional 4-H Horse Championships Results

Please join us in congratulating our 2009 North Carolina 4-H Delegation on their successful showing at the 2009 Southern Regional 4-H Horse Championships held at the Arkansas State Fairgrounds in Little Rock, Arkansas! On July 29th through August 2nd, 4-H members from 13 different states competed in equine educational events including youth Horse Judging, Horse Bowl, Hippology and Team Demonstration, in addition to the 2009 Southern Regional 4-H Horse Championships Horse Show. The North Carolina 4-H Horse Program swept the Hippology contest, with Sarah Harper, Jackie Dean, Crosby Reed, Eric Wright and Brenna Rodriguez representing five out of the top ten high individuals, and the North Carolina 4-H Hippology Teams ranking 1st and 3rd overall. In the Horse Judging contest, the NC 4-H Horse Program had two teams that placed 3rd and 5th overall, and three of the top ten high individuals. Please congratulate Marion Quattlebaum, Megan Long and Faith Fulbright on their achievements. Additionally, the two North Carolina Horse Bowl Teams placed 3rd and 5th overall, with three 4-H’ers placing in the top ten high individuals. Congratulations to Crosby Reed, Eric Wright and Sophie Austin! The team composed of Jasmine Fowler and Allison Keogh placed 2nd overall out of nine teams in the Team Demonstration contest.
