Ms. Trish LeeHong

Ms. Trish LeeHong is a dedicated animal caretaker for the many injured native Australian wildlife species that she accepts at her facility located in Queensland, Australia. In January 2011 LeeHong's property, where the rescued and rehabilitated animals reside, was severly damaged in the catastrophic floods that inundated many farms in the Lockyer Valley of SE Queensland.

Since March 2011, students from the Study Abroad Queensland Summer Program at NC State have taken the initiative to raise funds that would be directly donated to LeeHong's mission. Currently, any amount of money you can give is gladly accepted, but if you donate $5 or more, you will receive a postcard of your choice from among some of the wildlife LeeHong has cared for.

If you are interested in getting involved and/or are wanting to donate please contact Dr. Morgan Morrow.

You can read a report of the flooding and damage at LeeHong's property and see more of all the work LeeHong does for Australian wildlife at her website.
