Teaching Interests: Teaching includes a graduate course cross listed with genetics entitled Concepts in Quantitative Genetics and Breeding.

Research Interests: Improvement of economically relevant traits in dairy cattle thorough the use of quantitative and molecular methods. Investigation and modeling of health related traits. Identification of loci involved in health and survival. Integration of molecular and quantitative information into selection programs. Use of alternative strategies in the investigation of low heritability and adaptation traits
