Extension Interests: Coordinate the North Carolina Beef Quality Assurance program. Management practices for improved production in beef and meat goat herds. Forage based livestock production and hay and silage production and utilization.

Research Interests: Broad based research interest in meat goat production including control of hoof growth, alternative forages, sire evaluation and stocking rate studies. Research with beef cattle includes stocker production systems, cow calf management and preconditioning programs. Forage production in western North Carolina and hay and silage production, storage and utilization.

Commodity Interests: Beef, Sheep, and Meat Goats.
