BRF Advisory Board

The Biological Resources Facility Advisory Board offers faculty-generated advice for those who run the facilities and advises the North Carolina Agricultural Research Service on matters concerning the facilities. Members of the Advisory Board are interested in small animal research at North Carolina State University and have knowledge of animal research. They may meet several times a year to discuss issues that come up at the facility such as: 1) how to administratively handle a particular disease if it surfaces; 2) what is a reasonable price for investigators to pay for animal care giving balance that is good for the individual investigator and NCSU; 3) hiring of new personnel if needed; 4) how to handle building problems if they occur; and 5) how to provide a channel for communication from the users of the facilities to the staff. The Advisory Board gives the staff and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences administration relatively unbiased and rational thought input into the running of the BRF.
