Longhorned beetles are phytophagous with an elongate body and compound eyes that wrap around the antennae.  They have a five segmented tarsi, but the fourth segment of the tarsi is small and hidden.  They are usually seen feeding on flowers and many species are nocturnal in nature.  The larvae are white, legless, and wood-boring.
