Picture GalleryThe sand wasps, digger wasps, and mud-daubers are identifiable by their short pronotum and bare bodies that are nearly devoid of hairs. Also distinctive to this family is a lobe on the lateral edge of the pronotum that does not touch the tegula. The larvae are parasitic while the adults are entomophagous in nature. |
