Dr. Eugene Jamot (1879-1937) discovered that tsetse flies transmit the trypanosome parasite that causes African sleeping sickness in humans.   The 75th anniversary of Dr. Jamot's birth was celebrated with this postage stamp issued by the African nation of Cameroun on November 29, 1954.
