Conclusions

The following are some conclusions from considering all four
VNTR loci.
- Blood Spot 1 cannot exclude Suspect 1.
- Blood Spot 2 cannot exclude Victim and Suspect 3.
- Vaginal Swab cannot exclude Victim, Suspect 2, & Suspect 3. In addition,
there is evidence of another person.
- Suspect 2 was excluded from all blood & vaginal swab.
- There are some unaccounted bands in the vaginal swab.
This may come from another rapist, or someone else who has a sex with
the victim recently, such as a consensual partner.
The overall conclusion suggests Suspect 1 & 3, but excludes Suspect 2 from
contributing to the blood & semen samples (he could have been involved, but
not left any DNA evidence).
