Training programs in the Urban Structural Entomology program are conducted at a variety of locations around the state as needed. NC State University has partnered with the North Carolina Pest Management Association and the NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to provide pest management professionals other other key groups with critical training in aspects of construction and control methods as they relate in particular to subterranean termites. The Structural Pest Control Training and Research Center is located at Lake Wheeler Field Laboratory. The state-of-the-art training facility is equipped with microscopes provided by the NCPCA for training in pest identification and has wireless internet connectivity.
