Entomology Academic Programs

Ent032 classThe Entomology academic programs provide high quality, broad-based instruction in the science of entomology at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Our undergraduate teaching program serves the entire campus community by meeting the educational needs of students majoring in other Agriculture and Life Science disciplines including the Agricultural Institute, as well as satisfying the curiousity of individuals interested simply in acquiring a broader appreciation for the relationships that exist among arthropods and the physical and biological environment around them, including humans.

The graduate teaching program prepares M.Ent., M.S. and Ph.D. students for careers in entomology and related fields by providing a comprehensive and challenging education that integrates both classical and modern approaches to entomology. Students in related disciplines also take graduate level courses within Entomology. The M.S. and Ph.D. programs also emphasize the development of research and teaching skills.
