Financial Aid The availability of graduate teaching and research assistantships varies from year to year. Consideration for assistance will be given only after the student's application has been approved by the Graduate Student Recruitment Committee. Sometimes a faculty advisor may have funds available for support, or the department head may be able to arrange for a research or teaching assistantship in the Department of Entomology or in another department such as Biology or Zoology. Assistantships provide a salary and benefits. Benefits include in-state tuition and health insurance. Health insurance is provided as long as the student remains on an assistantship However, students are required to pay fees each semester which currently approach $500. Providing that satisfactory progress is being made toward the degree, assistantships are guaranteed for: 2½ years (5 semesters) for the M.S. degree Click HERE to view any available assistantships in the department.
