Graduate Research Assistantship (MS/PhD)

tuber moth imageThis position will study the landscape ecology, phenology, and management of a polyphagous insect pest in a tobacco agroecosystem. The tobacco splitworm/potato tuber moth (Phthorimaea operculella) feeds on solanaceous crops and weeds and has recently become tobacco.jpgmore common in tobacco in the southeast. 

There is potential for additional projects based up on the specific interests of the student. The assistantship can begin as soon as summer 2008.  Candidates must meet the admission requirements for the NCSU Department of Entomology.
