Undergraduate Minor in Entomology
The Department of Entomology offers an undergraduate minor in Entomology intended for students who are interested in insects, their management, and their role in the functioning of natural and agricultural ecosystems. Insects represent the single largest group of animal species -- they impact every facet of human life and they are a very important part of our environment. This minor provides an opportunity for students to become familiar with the great diversity of insect life, to explore their form and function, to study their impact on and relationships with plants, humans, and other animals, and to learn about various methods of control.

The program requires 15 semester hours. Students must take ENT 425 (General Entomology -- 3 credit hours) or ENT 402 (Forest Entomology -- 3 credit hours) plus 12 hours from the courses listed below. However, of these 12 hours of elective courses, at least 6 hours must be ENT courses.
