Submitting Faculty Activity Reports
Overview
To submit your
Faculty Activity Reports (FARs), Plans of Work (POW) and Impact Statements,
there are 3 basic steps:
1. Create
a folder on your hard drive to hold the files.
This is important because you cannot
edit, delete or rename the files once they have been submitted, so you’ll
want to work on them on your own hard drive.
2. Save
your documents in Microsoft Word 97 or WordPerfect 7.0 format, or below, in
your file folder. Follow the naming convention, using
the last name of the faculty member, an underscore, and the first name, and
underscore, and either FAR or IP.
3. Copy your files to the CALS2 server,
into your department’s 2002 folder. To do so, you’ll select all of the
files in your FAR directory, select Copy. Then you double-click the “Faculty
Activity Reports” icon in the Novell Application Launcher, open the 2002 folder,
and select Paste.
