SUBJECT: 2002 Faculty Activity Reports, Plan of Work and Impact Statements
DUE DATE: FEBRUARY 1, 2003
By February 1, 2003, please submit the 2002 Faculty Activity Reports (FAR),
Plans of Work (POW) and Impact Statements for all the permanent EPA
personnel (this exempts post-docs) in your department/unit. Activities
are to reflect the calendar year of 2002.
All current permanent EPA employees, part-time and full-time, who
receive ANY portion of their salary through the NC State payroll (including
grants and trust funds) are to file a report. This includes USDA, USDI and
USFS personnel on an NC State appointment. Adjunct appointments and non-paid
personnel are optional.
Impact Statements are to be submitted in a separate file; i.e., each EPA
employee will submit two files, one containing their FAR and POW and a
second file containing their Impact Statement(s). Information on
writing impact statements with examples is available at
http://www.cals.ncsu.edu/far/. Please share this web site with your EPA
employees.
Information regarding format and submission of the files from your
Department/Unit by your Departmental/Unit Contact is also available at:
http://www.cals.ncsu.edu/far/. Note that the suggested format has been
changed. The College now suggests FAR format follow University format
for Sections III through VI of the Reappointment, Promotion and Tenure
Dossier. It is fine to maintain Roman numeral consistency by having the
FAR begin with III. INSTRUCTION.
For assistance with the submission process, please contact Scott Clark, 513-1910
