Welcome Newsflash!

The Lilalab is an interdisciplinary lab focused on identifying plant-based chemicals that have potential to positively influence human health, in the form of natural products and pharmaceuticals as well as nutraceuticals and functional foods. Our lab uses a concerted approach, utilizing advanced techniques and analytical instruments to investigate compounds in a complex natural mixture, achieve clean separations, and isolate lead compounds.

As part of the Plants for Human Health Institute and North Carolina Reserach Campus, the Lilalab interfaces with scientists from all disciplines, dedicated to improving human health and welfare against communicable and chronic disease.
